Experiential Education
- She hold a degree in Social Work (4 years studies completed in 1996).

For seven years she worked as a trainer and experiential educator,
facilitating learning of social skills, teamwork and personal development.

In her studies and professional work she stressed a gender orientation
and specific programs and concepts for girls and women.

About 4 years she had a self founded business for training programs and
was responsible for the event organization, the concept design, marketing,
administration etc.
Political Activism

For more than 20 years she has been active in grassroots political groups
and movements: anti-militarism, international solidarity, anti-racism,
anti-fascism, critique of neoliberal globalization and its effects etc.
Peace and Conflict Studies

Since October 2003 she is a student in the new founded post-graduate
two-year master programe "Peace and Conflict Studies" at Magdeburg
University, Germany.

Theories of peace and conflict studies, including newer approaches:
poststructuralism, postmodernism, constructivist and feminist approaches,
postcolonial theory etc.

Methods of research in peace and conflict studies, e.g. critique of
positivist epistemology.

Excursion to Dharavi (slum area), Bombay and research project about

fields of interests in her studies:

Theoretical pluralism and the newer theoretical ideas. Critique of
mainstream approaches in International Relations especially of neo-realism.

Connection of activism/practical application/field projects and
scientific research and theories.

Feminist, postcolonial and constructivist ideas e.g. as I find them
connected by L.H.M. Ling in her "Postcolonial International Relations"
(2002).

Grassroots viewpoints, voices of the marginalised, ideas of people who
are active for a social change.
