DR. RANVIJAY currently Project Fellow, at the Malaviya Centre for Peace Research at Banaras Hindu University holds a Ph.D., M.Phil. and M. A. Degree of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Before joining this project he was Research Associate/Policy Analyst at ICFAI School of Public Policy, Hyderabad.

 

Dr. Ranvijay has taught “communication research” at under graduate level, at Pioneer Media School, New Delhi. He has been a short term visiting fellow at The Begin Sadat Centre For Strategic Studies, Bar Ilan University and The Henry S. Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel.

He has been a recipient of “Short Term Fellowship” awarded by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) for the support of the completion of PhD thesis. He holds a degree of National Eligibility Test for Lectureship (NET) in Politics and in Area and International Relations.

 

Dr. Ranvijay specializes in environmental conflict. His Ph.D. work is on environmental conflict in Gaza and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. His area of interest is environmental politics and international relation theory, public policy, developmental issues in third world countries, Globalisation and the state.  Currently, Dr. Ranvijay is concentrating on media and conflict, religion and peace and peace studies.
